Madeleine Moon MP said

“I felt it was important to acknowledge Armed Forces Day in the House of Commons and to send a clear message that the military is not detached from the lives of ordinary people. People who have served in the Armed Forces are all around us. Once someone leaves the Armed Forces, they do not lose the ethos they gained during their service, it remains relevant to the jobs they do today.”

“It has been fascinating to hear about the military service of so many people we see every day as we work in the Commons and understand how their experiences have influenced the way they work today.”
