Bridgend MP Welcomes Impressive Inspection Report of HMP / YOI Parc

Local MP Madeleine Moon has today welcomed HM Inspectorate of Prisons inspection report of HMP / YOI Parc Young People's unit.

The report found that the growth of the unit which has doubled in size in the past two years had been well managed and the unit had developed into an impressive facility.

Local MP Madeleine Moon who has met with Anne Owers, HM Chief Inspector of Prisons this year as well as meeting with the prison governor and others from Parc prison on a regular basis has commented that:

"This glowing report is a great recognition of the dedication of the managers and team in HMP / YOI Parc who have endeavoured to overcome problems and innovate where possible, to create a safe and purposeful environment"

"I look forward to continuing to work with the team at Parc along with all interested parties, including Parc Supporting Families, to ensure that further improvement is made, and that the unit continues to be a credit to the Welsh criminal justice system."
