Heronsbridge warmth on a cold winter's day

Bridgend MP Madeleine Moon recently congratulated Heronsbridge on its excellent Estyn school inspection report, and also Chris Major, the headteacher, on receiving an MBE from the Queen in December.

She said: "On a grey, cold, wet winter's day the School was a sensory experience, filled with colour, warmth and happiness.

Madeleine's first stop was the new Coffee shop to meet the Catering Team.

On a tour of the school, the MP saw many activities available, including the new Hydrotherapy pool and Rebound therapy room, and a multi sensory room which offered a calming relaxing experience to stimulate the senses.

"The team in the coffee shop were professional and my Americano and chocolate brownie were delicious. The School meets the demands of all the complex special needs of the pupils and provides a rich learning environment. The enthusiasm of all the staff is evident and their experience and commitment provides a happy, caring and secure setting for pupils and everyone has a smile on their face." the MP noted.
