Bridgend’s Community Heroes honoured at No. 10 Reception

Community HeroesMadeleine Moon MP accompanied two members of the RNLI to a special Community Heroes Reception at No.10 Downing Street held last week.

Philip Missen MBE and Wendy Conley of the Porthcawl RNLI attended the event hosted by the Prime Minister Gordon Brown.

They were invited by Madeleine Moon MP to honour their dedication, courage and commitment to duty risking their lives on a daily basis to help those in danger around our coasts.

Madeleine said, "I invited Phil and Wendy to the Reception to meet with the Prime Minister as an opportunity to recognise their commitment and to pay tribute to them and to all the crew members of the lifeboat who are all volunteers risking their lives for others."
