MADELEINE MOON MP ACCEPTS POCA PETITION

Post Office

Madeleine Moon MP went to Brackla Post Office to accept 118 Post Office Card Account Postcards and a Petition signed by 187 residents from Brackla. The petition calls for the Post Office Card Account to remain at Post Offices.  Handing over the postcards and petition to the MP were Councillors Bill Bennett and Carolyn Lewis, accompanied by Stephen Lewis and John Davies.

Community Councillor Carolyn Lewis said:

“The Post Office Card Account is a free service to people who are in receipt of benefits and who have opted to use this service.  I am here today to offer my support to keep this service at the Post Office.”

Madeleine stated:

“I know this account is important to people and I have written to the Prime Minister informing him of the high level of concern in my constituency of people who want this account to remain post offices. To date I have received over 1500 postcards and have advised the Department of Business, Enterprise and Regulatory Reform of the huge numbers I have received."
