MP visits Bridgend Royal Mail Postmen

Bridgend MP Madeleine Moon visited the Royal Mail Bridgend Delivery Office on Friday to meet with the Manager David West and his team.

Madeleine said – The busiest month of the year has arrived and the workload for the Postmen now increases tenfold with the enormous amount of Christmas cards and parcels to deliver.   The team were in a good mood and about to go out on their usual Rounds.

David West, the Manager, informed me that Royal Mail are offering more services over the Christmas period and will do their best to get all Christmas post to everyone as soon as they can.  Additional deliveries are planned leading up to Christmas and the sorting offices around the constituency will be open later from Monday 12 December to allow for collection of parcels that could not be delivered.

And most importantly they advised me that the last posting dates for Second Class mail is Saturday 17 December and for First Class mail is Tuesday 20 December.
