Madeleine Moon MP is encouraging everyone to have their say on Ofcom’s plans to limit the number of 'silent phone calls' that can be made to one per day. The current consultation asks for the public’s opinion on this idea and closes on Tuesday July 27 2010.

Silent phone calls are normally from call centres that automatically dial the number, sometimes without an operator ready to speak to you. This results in a dead connection that is extremely frustrating, especially for those with disabilities or the elderly who may struggle to answer the phone only to find no response....
