Visiting RAF Waddington to learn about our use of remotely piloted air systems

MQ-9_Reaper.jpgThe RAF's 39 Squadron is responsible for flying and operating the UK's MQ-9 Reaper Remotely Piloted Air Systems (RPAs). Until recently the squadron operated out of Creech Air Force Base in Nevada, USA but they have just made the move to their new home at RAF Waddington in Lincolnshire.

Earlier today, in my capacity as a member of the Defence Select Committee leading our inquiry into RPA's I visited the base to learn more about the aircraft and how they are operated. For more on our inquiry click here, for more on the Reaper and the UK's RPA capabilities click here.
