Another historic week in Parliament saw the Government’s Withdrawal Agreement defeated by an unprecedented margin, followed the next day by the Government surviving a vote of no confidence. There is still no clarity on the UK’s position going forward with the EU and therefore all sides in Parliament will now be forced to adapt their positions to the new realty
which has been created.
Elsewhere Defence Questions allowed me to highlight the security issues facing the UK, a task that needs to be continued throughout the new year emphasising Britain’s continued
role in the world, regardless of the terms of how we leave the EU.
