Originally planned as a recess week, the last few days in Parliament have been anything but a break. The defections from both major parties came as a shock to everyone and the effects will be felt by many. Whatever your view of the decision some MPs have taken, it reflects a wider feeling across the House and the Country that our politics are struggling to deal with the contradictions and tensions Brexit has created.
Elsewhere I have spent the week at the Munich International Security Conference and in Brussels engaging with the NATO PA Committee meetings, including sessions with Christine
Lagarde, Ivanka Trump, Nancy Pelosi and Federica Mogherini, ensuring that whatever is going on at home, the UK has a stable and strong voice on the International stage.
